Orlando, FL, 5/8/09. When it came to the right story idea for Brooks and Dunn’s, “Tequila” music video, Orlando based Pier Productions harmonized perfectly. In April, 2009 Nashville’s Studio Now and Spalding Entertainment, management company for Brooks and Dunn, sponsored a music video contest for “Tequila” from Brooks and Dunn’s latest release, “Cowboy Town“.
On Thursday it was announced that Pier Productions would take the top prize with “Two Worm Tango“, a mixed-media piece that utilizes HD video, 2-D and 3-D animation and advanced compositing. It tells the story of Two Worm Tango tequila in which the worms come to life and go on an unforgettable adventure. “We couldn’t be more pleased or excited about the outcome” said Beth Schultz, President of Pier Productions.
With just over a week and no budget to work with, Pier Productions produced the video with the help of 2-D animator Bob Duane and 3-D artist, Patrick Schultz. Pier Productions co-owner, Christopher Weed edited and composited the video and posted it with only hours to spare “It was a very tight deadline and we all worked long hours on it but the result was well worth it”. The video will air on the GAC channel in the coming weeks.
Pier Productions, Inc. opened in Orlando in 2002 and has gradually built a reputation both as a company for the small business owner like A Ultimate Airboat Rides to large corporations such as Tupperware and Walt Disney Entertainment. A video production company that writes, produces and edits through the use of talented contractors such as Bob Duane and Patrick Schultz, Pier Productions expands its services to include 2-D and 3-D animation as well as Flash Design.
With this win Pier Productions won’t rest on its laurels as they are currently busy with projects for Tupperware and an upcoming event with the Walt Disney Company.
